Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Performance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of practical experience with JMeter, a powerful and widely used open-source load testing tool. As a Senior Performance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the performance and scalability of our applications and systems.
Your main responsibility will be to design and execute performance tests, analyse test results, and provide recommendations for improving system performance. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks, develop solutions, and implement changes. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of performance testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
To excel in this role, you should have a comprehensive understanding of performance testing concepts and methodologies. You should be experienced in creating effective test strategies, test plans, and test scripts. A strong analytical mindset and the ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues are also key qualities we are looking for.
Responsibilities:
• Design and execute performance tests using JMeter.
• Analyse performance test results and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement recommendations.
• Develop and maintain performance testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in applications and systems.
• Monitor system performance and provide real-time feedback during load testing.
• Develop and execute capacity planning exercises to ensure scalability.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with JMeter
• Strong understanding of performance testing concepts and methodologies
• Proficient in creating efficient test strategies, plans, and scripts.
• Experience with performance profiling and analysis tools.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with Agile methodologies and practices is a plus.
